Which is Better: Niche OR Authority Websites PART-1

All right, so you've decided your niche. I hope that's evergreen or at least trending now, because that can be a cause for you to be making $100 or $1000 per month. It all depends upon your decision.

You must have heard people talking about Sniper sites or Niche Marketing for a while. They tell you that it is easy to rank, make money and maintain blah..blah..blah.. but they don't reveal the darker side or I say the risks involved with making such Sniper Sites.

Know Wikipedia? Yes that free Encyclopaedia about anything! Well that's an Authority website. Basically an authority website means that it has established it's identity among the viewers and is highly trust-able. OK tell me, do you ever think of verifying the data given on Wikipedia?

No? Good. That's AUTHORITY.

But now, Internet Marketers have been betting on making money through Highly Targeted Niche Marketing. 

Did you ever came across the name George Brown, the infamous creator of Google Sniper v1.0 and Google Sniper v2.0. He has made millions by promoting products through the so called sniper websites. I may tell you a bit about his system

1. Decide on a Niche.
2. Decide on your Sub-Niche.
3. Identify Problems within that Specific Niche.
4. Make a list of Keywords related to the problems or queries.
5. Plug-in them in Google Keyword Planner.
6. Dig deeper and deeper looking for low competition terms. These are usually long tail keywords such as "make money the first day using YouTube" or "lose 31 pounds in a week using this weird trick".
7. They can also be product names, difficult, scientific or foreign names.
8. Make sure that the term has less than 30,000 competitive pages in Google.
9. Build a Sniper Site consisting of very low content using the guidelines given in the course and do some SEO and Backlinking.
10. BOOM. You are ranking on Google Page 1 for that term and making hundreds of dollars per month.
11. Keep building such sites and you are on your way making thousands per month.

Excited? Well that's not the reality.

Can you imagine searching for such extremely low competitive keywords. I think that's near to impossible unless you've hours to spend on keyword research. Moreover building niche websites is like focusing on One-Problem-One-Solution concept and making money from it. Though there's nothing wrong with this concept and even I think that one should follow it but the problem lies in the way it's done.

Niche websites are made with the sole intention of making money. And Google doesn't like it. They want content and that too very relevant and of high quality. But usually one uses 10-15 posts on such sniper sites and ranks it on top pages. As of now this method works very well and if one adds 5 or 10 posts then it's guaranteed to rank. 

The truth is "As Marketers are Getting Smarter, Google is Getting Smarter Too!".
